Overview
The
goal of this
department
is to
nurture
modern
mechanical
engineers
and
fundamental
technical
offers for
the army.
The
department
provides the
2-year
college
program and
the bachelor
program for
2-year and
4-year
college
students. In
1978, the
department
began
to provide
diploma for
2-year
college
students. In
1999, the
department
was ordered
to provide
the bachelor
degree for
4-year
college
students.
The department offers a broad spectrum of courses covering many disciplines of mechanical engineering. Courses are about mechanics, mechanical design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics mechanical manufacturing, mechanical materials science, mechanical manufacturing, vehicle engineering and weapon engineering etc.
In addition to mechanical engineering
fundamentals, the department encourages every student to specialize in one area of engineering expertise based on his or her own
inclination.
All the faculty members in this department are active in teaching and research. The research activities of the department are focused on practical engineering applications with emphasis on the military.
