Required course for cadets:
English: Cadets are required to study English in their first three years at the academy. The course is worth two credits each semester, with 3 hours of instruction each week for semesters one and two, and two hours of instruction each week for semesters four through six. Educational goals are to develop basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English in the student, and ECL grades of 40% for freshmen, 50% for sophomores, 60% for juniors, and ability to pass the GEPT Intermediate, or High-intermediate Levels test as well.

正期生必修課程：
英語： 學生於一至三年級必須修習英語。本課程一學期二學分，一、二學期每週二小時，四至六學期每週二小時。課程目的為培養學生初級之英語聽、說、讀、寫，以及通過ECL與全民英檢中(中高)級測驗之能力。

Electives for cadets:
Additional Foreign Languages (Spanish, Japanese, Dutch, French or Russian) are available during the cadet's junior and senior years. These courses are not for credit, but meet for two hours of instruction each week. The goal of these courses is to develop basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and promote understanding of foreign cultures.

正期生選修課程：
第二外語﹝西文、日文、德文、法文、俄文﹞： 可於三、四年級選修。零學分，每週二小時。旨在培養學生聽、說、讀、寫初級能力以及認識外國文化。

TOEFL Class: Available in the cadet's senior year. This course is worth two credits each semester, with two hours of instruction each week. This class offers extra preparation classes for the TOEFL exam, in order to apply for American graduate schools.

托福班： 可於四年級選修。一學期二學分，每週二小時。旨在加強托福應考能力，以申請美國研究所。

ECL Class: Available in the cadet's senior year. This course is worth two credits each semester, with two hours of instruction each week. This class offers extra preparation classes for the ECL exam, in order to meet English Preparatory Class standards.

ECL 班： 可於四年級選修。一學期二學分，每週二小時。旨在加強ECL英文應考能力，以達軍售班標準。

IELTS Class: Available in the cadet's senior year. This course is worth two credits each semester, with two hours of instruction each week. This class offers extra preparation classes for the IELTS exam, which is needed in order to apply for British graduate schools.

英國劍橋大學英語認證 (IELTS) 班： 可於四年級選修。一學期二學分，每週二小時。旨在輔導英國劍橋大學英語認證考試，以申請英國研究所。

特殊班隊課程內容

TOEFL Class and Spanish Class: Freshman cadets undergo a general testing of English ability, with the foremost 25 being selected for six hours of extra TOEFL preparation classes each week, and the next 25 being selected for two hours of extra Spanish classes each week. The goal of these classes are to develop expertise in English and Spanish, and to select exceptional students to study in the American military schools West Point, VMI, Norwich and the Citadel, and military schools in friendly South American nations (such as Honduras).

托福班及西文班：針對正期一年級學生，於新生入伍時實施英文鑑測，依成績結果，挑選前二十五名之學生，於課餘時間，施予每週六小時之托福訓練，次二十五名學生，於課餘時間，施予每週二小時西文訓練。本課程旨在培訓英、西文專精人才，並遴選優秀人才至美國西點軍校、維吉尼亞軍校、威爾猛及色岱爾軍校，或南美友邦學校就讀。
