The military is like medicine, law, or any number of different fields in that it has its own language. I don't mean language like Latin or Arabic, but that it has words that are used in the military, but not in normal conversation. This is called jargon.
The Chinese Military Academy is charged with preparing our cadets to a level of English proficiency that they can train with (or in case of crisis, fight side-by-side with) foreign soldiers. Because of this mission, it is vital that we teach our students some of this jargon to allow them to complete such mission. Anyone interested in such military terminology is invited to see the pages below.
