The Following are career avenues that students may take after graduation：

　　Military training：Students can progress from basic duties to command duties, staff duties, educational duties and eventually to higher positions by sequentially completing military assignments or academic study.

　　Military study：As their careers develop, officers may receive military education domestically or abroad in officer basic or captain career courses based on the demands of their rank or duties. They may receive advanced education or attend the Command and General Staff College or the Army War College.

　　Academic study：Besides military study, officers may also pursue careers in academic research in line with their individual interests. After gaining admission to a master's or PhD program, either domestically or overseas, and earning their degrees, the officers may choose to develop through either military duties or education and research.
